Suicide by Burlesque dancer

When Lovborg asks Hedda for the gun, it is obvious forshadowing that he is going to kill himself, and when we learn that he was actually killed by Madame diana, i think that he wasnt jsut killed. in fact i think that when he took the pistol to get back his tracript, he knew no matter what he was going to kill himslef, or die in the process. either way he was going to die, and i think that he tried to get killed by some one elses finger pulling the trigger because that way he would be dishonored by the suicide, but would be seen as the victim and thus save his image.
